These will be held on prearranged days and will be by invitation only [unlike our normal season flu vaccination clinics].

Patients will be called from clinical risk groups.

A small number of patients who are immunocompromised will need to have a second vaccine.

Unless given advice to the contrary at the time of their initial vaccine these patients will be asked to phone back the week after their initial vaccine to arrange for the second dose.

This injection must be at least 3 weeks after the initial dose was given.

If you have had a significant reaction to a flu vaccine or eggs/chicken in the past, then you must let us know.

Such patients may not be suitable for swine flu vaccination or may need an alternative vaccine [Celvapan] to that received by the majority of patients [Pandemrix].

Specific clinics for this small group of patients will be arrange in the early part of 2010.
